Byers Ranch Slow Cooker Steak

This meal is a tasty, tender family favorite that can be served over rice, egg noodles or Chow Mein.

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • Beef Sirloin: 2 lbs, sliced into 2 inch strips
  • Garlic Powder: to taste
  • Vegetable Oil: 3 tbsp
  • Beef Bouillon: 1 cube
  • Hot Water: ¼ Cup
  • Cornstarch: 1 tbsp
  • Chopped Onion: ½ Cup
  • Large Bell Peppers: 2 of your favorite colour, roughly chopped
  • Stewed Tomatoes with liquid: 1 can (14.5 ounce)
  • Soy Sauce: 3 tbsp
  • White Sugar: 1 tsp
  • Salt: 1 tsp
DIRECTIONS:

Step 1) Sprinkle Beef Sirloin strips with garlic powder to taste. In a large frying pan over medium heat, warm vegetable oil and brown the seasoned beef strips. Transfer into your slow cooker.
Step 2) Mix bouillon cube with warm water until dissolved, then mix in the cornstarch until dissolved. Pour into your slow cooker with the beef strips.
Step 3) Add the remaining ingredients to your slow cooker and give a gentle stir.
Step 4) Cover and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or on LOW for 6-8 hours. Pairs well with yam fries, fresh garden peas and basmati rice. Serves 4.
